After watching Kerry this week it finally seems like he has found a message. It sounds as if he is going to continue to pound the President on the "Iraq is a mess. I could do it better" speech for the time being. The old Air Force One is now at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley and the display will open in mid-2005. I was at the library just a few weeks ago and it is worth the trip. They have a full-scale replica of the oval office, Reagan's presidential limo, a big section of the Berlin Wall and even a nuclear missile (sans the warhead) on display.

Two new state polls from Rasmussen Reports has Kerry leading in Michigan 48 to 44 and in New Jersey 50 to 46. Both polls were taken just before and during the RNC so these don't include any full "bounce" effect from the convention. The Michigan numbers were a slight improvement for Bush, who was trailing by five points there in August. The New Jersey numbers should scare the Kerry campaign a ton.
